Hello from Rio Grande camp!
We trekked 14 kilometers yesterday to get
here, arriving just after dark. Highlight of the first camp: real
toilets!..a luxury that will soon be a distant memory. Despite some
mild altitude sickness, spirits are high and we're looking forward to
today's challenges. Yesterday participants also forms teams of 5-6
people, and were charged with developing a team name by end of day.
Names include: Black Mamba, Team Listo, Team Guapo, Team Boot n' Rally
(this team included VF Neil Parikh!). Off to another day of Atacama
desert trekking, under the guidance of our talented and patient
Vertical Guide Team!!
Much love from the Venture Fellows,
Chris, Dave, Christy, and Neil
